What an Amazing Semester :) January 27, 2010

I would like to say Thank You for this semester, it is true that it required a lot of work from all of us but I think that we saw how much we all improved and progressed which makes it worthwhile. I’m sure that we all are going to remember how connected we were as a class which added a lot of enjoyment to the working hours. I know that my major does not focus on the artistic skills acquired taking this class but it taught me how to focus and patiently work with my assignment till the very end. I’m going to miss the fun times we all shared and will definitely recommend this class to all my friends

Final Project :) January 26, 2010

This is how I wanted the scrapbook to look at first

That’s the cover of the finalized scrapbook

After thinking about it, I changed my idea about doing a scrapbook about my whole “life” instead of my winter vacation. I found it more interesting and more personal :) I really enjoyed doing this work and I am planning on keeping it as a souvenir for the future. Of my drawing class :)

First class assignment we had when we learned about perspective December 23, 2009

I honesty didn’t like working on this. Unlike most of the class who found it easy, I really didn’t understand how to do it at first but after some trials and help i succeeded :)

Graffiti :) December 23, 2009

That’s how my graffiti came out the first time, didn’t work out much

That was after the second try :P

That’s the stencil after spray-painting

This activity was definitely the one i enjoyed the most. I found it different from all others and i felt that each one of us showed some of their personalities through their graffitis :)

One of everyday’s adventure November 16, 2009

One of everyday's adventure

Driving like a turtle :P

This is a sequence of 6 drawings. Since it is not very clear i will explain what each one symbolizes :)
In the first one, i am celebrating and all excited about getting my license lol
In the second one, I am really focused on the road since i’m still a beginner
In the third one, I am driving slowly while a car is starting to get bothered behind me
In the fourth one, the man behind me beeps me and passes in front of me
In the fifth one, he passed already and i am relieved
In the sixth and last one, which happens five minutes after the previous one, it shows the same cycle over and over again and shows how i am a main reason to traffic  :)
Lol well basically it’s just to show how in this country people get frustrated by someone driving slow, whether that person seems to be young or an adult because logically, i find it normal for an 18 year-old to drive carefully and focus on the road instead of speeding up in order to let the cars behind me pass.
I hope this makes sense lol :P

Objects of Everyday Use November 11, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Louna Trak @ 21:37

Objects of Everyday Use The purpose of this drawing was to draw three personal objects and shade them accordingly. I chose three objects i use daily and looked at them from top to bottom, shading the objects accordingly. The light was coming from the top-right/top-middle of the drawing

Release of emotion November 11, 2009

Release of emotion

This is the result of series of drawings, it was done while looking at the objects placed at the middle of the room and drawing it from a specific angle. The shading had to be done according to where the light reflecting the most and where it wasn’t.

Out of all the work we did, this was by far the weirdest but most interesting one. Looking at it is like reading the “artist’s” emotions and thoughts while drawing it
